One of the joys of radio broadcasting is receiving calls on the air. We never know what the questions would be. Since we air live on the Internet, nothing is rehearsed. On Tuesdays at 6 PM Eastern time, I host the Holistic Life Designs Talk Radio on TalkShoe with focused weekly topics on holistic and spiritual matters. On the Second Tuesday of each month, I feature Angel Communication with my friend and fellow Angel Therapy Practitioner, Russell Forsyth of Austin, Texas. We conduct free Angel Readings and our callers love how Russell and I tag team to relay messages from the angels.
When it comes to the nature of the questions, we are generally asked about health, career and relationship. In between callers, Russell and I cover concepts to remember when working with connecting and healing with the angels. One particular caller struck me to speak on self-empowerment. The critical question to ask in order to claim our power back is ‘Who defines us?’
The question was asked if we see the caller moving residence. Apparently, this question was not an original one and had already received several answers from other intuitives which pointed to the notion that a move was imminent. Yet, months have passed and still there was no move in sight. So, the caller ask us this question. “When do the angels see me moving?”
The first thought that came to me was ‘The move will happen when you decide to move!’ Working with angels means just that, working with them. Angels help us make our dreams come true, find our path, meet the people important for our growth, and send us places where we could make a difference. They help us heal ourselves, find our reason for living, and remember how loved we are. They help us realize we have choices, that we are powerful to create the lives of our dreams, and we have the Universe to help us. They teach us gratitude for the blessings that come into our lives.
One thing angels will not do is make decisions for us. They believe that we are powerful to impact our own lives. They know we create the lives we choose to live, either we do so consciously or not. They also wait for us to ask them for help as they acknowledge our free will. They know our life scripts and our histories, the lifetimes we have lived across time and space. They love us unconditionally and allow us to go on the journeys we set out to take. They teach us that all is in Divine Order. The only time they will interfere is when we engage in any act that would cut our life short before our designated time. They stay with us always, giving us sacred signs to stay on our path. If the choice we make is for our highest and greatest good, we feel joyful and powerful. If it is not, we feel awful and parts of ourselves feel ill. Our bodies give us feedback on the quality of our decisions and their potential impact in our lives.
So, when we find ourselves not moving, either through life, career, residence, or in relationships, it is because we have not made the conscious decision to do so. Some of us wait for others to make the decisions for us. Often we wait to be released from our work, our homes, our relationships. Even though the latter way is not self-empowering, the desired effect of moving will then take place.
Let us revisit the question, ‘Who defines us?’. The answer that comes to mind is ‘Who walks in our shoes?’ Decisions that impact us need to be made by the ones who will experience the consequences of those decisions. Asking strangers about this critical component of our lessons will not teach us what we are meant to learn.
Once we have made the decision, in this case to move residence, then we create movements in our world to support that choice. We conjure desired future residence in our minds. We begin de-cluttering our current space. We start packing our belongings. We move towards closures with celebration. These show the Universe we are serious and committed to our desire to move. All the while we ask for help from the angels to find us our dream home, bring us the resources and energy to make the move happen effortlessly, and help us focus our efforts to manage our transition with grace and ease.
Then, we watch and pay attention how the Universe aligns itself to help us manifest our dream into reality.

Lately I encounter interesting stories about life, and I still have yet to step outside my house to learn these lessons. Advancing technologies in the modern world are ubiquitous, as common as you see people going in every direction that pulls them. In the home they are everywhere as well, including our means to communicate with family, friends and associates. In my holistic practice at Holistic Life Designs coupled with my travel business at World Tours and Cruises, I rely much on my online activities to engage my work along with online radio broadcasting and writing. So I meet people of all walks of life from around the world. It is rather an interesting venture compared to the much more secured living of my past life serving with the US Armed Forces.
I favor working collaboratively on a global scale. I love hearing others’ perspectives on similar issues as their comments and questions sharpen my thoughts about the matter. One of the things we do in our collaboration is to support each other’s goals, offer insights, be a sounding board for ideas, and generate concepts that fit our individual objectives. Other times we work on developing our relationship by sharing our own histories with one another, allowing for our dreams to be a part of our conversations as we weave in and out of our work tapestry.
The theme of new beginnings for our collaborations is engaging a world very new to us, that of social media and internet marketing. As we journeyed through this path of new knowledge, we began to notice missing links in our connections with one another even though we were enthused and creative with our ventures. Intuitively speaking, before we can tread on new paths, we must honor and celebrate our past so that we build momentum towards the future from the goodwill of those we leave behind. Otherwise, any unfinished business pulls us back to unpleasant memories and tasks waiting closures. This becomes a burden in our journey forward, slowing us down tremendously as the weight gets heavier with each step we take.
Through our sharing and building our emotional relationships, we realize many of us have unfinished businesses to close. These are embodied as estranged career uncertainties, relationship dilemmas, unhealthy family ties, financial upheavals, unchecked health issues, lack of support from all levels, thwarted creative endeavors, discounting tempered wisdom, and fears of success or failures. It takes tremendous energy and focus to begin new projects. Ideally, energy tied to suppress any unfinished business could be freed and redirected to fuel our new endeavors. So, what do we do now? We speak honestly with one another about our insights, then help each other overcome these challenges that burden us. Afterward, we allow for time and space to heal any wounds from releasing anything that held us back. When we clear unfinished businesses of our past, our load is lightened and our energies restored. Then, our journeys to new beginnings resume in stride as the path to the future clears.
